About Strategy Maths...

"At Strategy Maths, my mission is to inspire and instil mathematical confidence so that students are equipped to reach and exceed their potential in this amazing subject. I believe this is all made possible through following a strategic approach, which allows students to form positive and consistent habits that will serve them well not only in their GCSE's, but also for A-Levels and beyond."

Fiona Rhode, Founder and Course Leader of Strategy Maths, began her teaching career in 2003 and has a vast and varied amount of experience teaching mathematics in key stage 3, 4 & 5. She has taught in some of the best schools and academic institutions in north Essex, notably Felsted Boarding School and Colchester Sixth Form College. Most recently she has taught almost 3,000 hours of maths lessons to high aspiring girls at a leading school for girls in Colchester. Not only does she have expertise in all areas of the GCSE and A-Level curriculum, but she is also an experienced teacher and examiner of the International Baccalaureate. Her skills lie in having a detailed understanding of examinations: the specifications, exam papers and marking process; along with an ability to make challenging topics simple and accessible to her students.

Having two daughters of her own, Fiona knows how important it is to raise aspirations of girls, build their confidence, and challenge any stereotypical views on what girls can and can't achieve. This belief led Fiona to create her Flagship Course for High Aspiring Girls.
