Terms and Conditions for the Group Flagship Course

1. All lessons take place online using the individual tutor’s choice of platform. Parents will receive a recurring lesson link before the first lesson that will be used to access each lesson. This must not be shared with any individual or group.

2. The tutor will have their camera on at all times during the lesson; students may also have their cameras on for the duration of the lesson if they choose to do so but the course leader may choose to disable students cameras at other times. Lessons will all be recorded and uploaded into the members only area after each lesson. You must agree not to share the meeting link to any individual or group, nor share login details to the members only area. Recordings of the video must not be shared in person or online.

3. For safeguarding reasons, for students under 18, it is expected that an adult will remain in the house with them for the duration of their online lesson. Students must not be left alone in the house with the tutor on call.

5. The GCSE Flagship Course is to be booked and paid for monthly, paid at the start of the month. Refunds will not be given if the student is unable to attend one of the lessons. If the student cannot attend an online lesson for whatever reason, lesson materials are still provided and should be completed in their own time.

6. Please ensure you have an adequate internet connection to access the online classroom, and that you have an account for Zoom. You are advised to do a "test run" at least 24 hours before to check that you will have no issues accessing the chosen platform. Your tutor will not be able to help with connection issues during the lesson as she will be teaching the class to other students.

7. While the tutor will endeavour to ensure that the student makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed, and the tutor cannot be held accountable for the academic success or otherwise of the student.

8. Students agree to joining the meeting 2 minutes before the official start time so that the course leader can manually admit them to the meeting and verify their identity.  Each lesson will start promptly regardless of whether or not all expected attendees are present. The course leader will accept late-comers only when it is convenient to do so, and when it does not cause disruption to the other learners.

9. When booking a place on the GCSE Flagship Class, you are required to pay one month at a time. at the start of each month. Payment for the next month will automatically be taken from the same payment method, unless you cancel this instruction (which you may do so at anytime once notifying Strategy Maths that you do not wish to continue with the tutoring services for another month). You may cancel at any time but refunds will not be issued part way through a month.

10. You understand that the delay of payment will mean that Strategy Maths will withhold the monthly updated meeting link and your daughter will unfortunately be unable to attend the lessons.

Cancellations
Both parties reserve the right to terminate lessons should they no longer be considered beneficial to the student. You may cancel at any time but If you decide to terminate tuition midway through a month, refunds cannot be given for the remaining lessons of that month.

For any of the short courses held during Easter and Summer holidays, if you are no longer able to attend the course, you may request a refund of your booking no later than 7 days before the start of the course. If you are unable to attend one of the dates for the 2 day courses, you will not be entitled to a refund for that date. The resources will be made available to your daughter and she will be able to catch up in her own time.

For the cancellations above, please put your intention in writing to info@strategymaths.co.uk

If the course leader ever has to cancel a lesson, she will aim to give at least 24 hours notice unless an absolute emergency. In either case, a refund will be provided to you for the cancelled lesson.1. All lessons take place online using the individual tutor’s choice of platform. Links to the lessons on Zoom will be provided in the custom built student-portal area and must not be shared with any individual or group.

Terms and conditions for 1:1 tuition

1. All lessons take place online using Zoom. Students will receive a recurring lesson link before the first lesson that will be used to access each lesson. The link can be found in the secure student portal area. You must agree not to share the meeting link to any individual or group, nor share login details of the student portal area.

2. For 1:1 lessons, the student agrees to have their camera on for the duration of the lesson so that the student and tutor can communicate effectively. If you choose, lessons can be recorded and uploaded into the secure student portal area after each lesson. Recordings of the video must not be shared in person or online.

3. For safeguarding reasons, for students under 18, it is expected that an adult will remain in the house with them for the duration of their online lesson.

4. Payment for lessons is to be paid for on a monthly basis, at the start of each month. If you cannot attend a lesson then the tutor will make every effort to reschedule to another date in the same month. If you cancel at short notice (less than 36 hours notice) and I cannot reschedule then you will have to forfeit that lesson but it is rare this will be necessary.

5. Please ensure you have adequate internet connection to access the online classroom, and that you have an account for Zoom. You are advised to do a "test run" at least 24 hours before to check that you will have no issues accessing the chosen platform.

6. Yours child's progress is ultimately a team effort. My responsibility is to make sure your child understands the material, and their responsibility is that they practice it. The students who get the highest grades and get the best results are not necessarily the ones with the highest target grade - they are the ones who have worked the hardest. Parental support is also key to a student's success so it's important we all work together.

7.If your child is late for any reason, regrettably the time can not be added onto the end of the lesson as I have a timetable of scheduled lessons and can not keep my next student waiting. Thank you for your understanding.

8. You are required to book one month at a time and your child will be taught 4 hours of 1:1 tuition during this month, at a set time agreed. You may cancel at any time, but refunds will not be issued part way through a month.
